for examinees
We are engaged in analysis method development based on statistical theories and in research on real-world applications using the analysis results. I hope that students who want me to become their supervisor will gain in-depth understanding of theoretical foundations of analysis methods and then develop the skills necessary to propose, based on evidence gathered from data, specific measures to resolve global food resources problems – the field covered by the Graduate School of Global Food Resources. To this end, students will have to learn about theories in classroom lectures, perform field surveys and collect data, as well as conducting PC-based statistical analysis. The required depth and width of expertise will not be attained easily. However, those who can overcome these difficulties will become able to thrive in various places around the world. I look forward to teaching determined and enthusiastic students.
